Sophie Kidwell sings Das Laster (the Mezzo-soprano solos) in this new oratorio by Moritz Eggert commissioned by FIFA, along with the Basel Sinfonietta, the Theater Basel Chorus and Extra Chorus, conducted by Titus Engel. Semi-staged by Tilman aus dem Siepen.

A large orchestra, a huge chorus, four soloists and three narrators tell the life story of a footballer - from the football field to the Super League.

Premiere of the new version for Basel on 22nd May at 7 p.m., with a second performance on 27th May 2025.
